Current Positions

  • Job title: Senior IT Project Manager/Consultant
  • Location: US Based

The Cavan Group’s senior team have a unique blend of technical expertise and project management skills and the successful candidate will be engaged in the following:

  • Providing objective consultative advice on workload placement, hosting and underlying infrastructure
  • Planning and management of complex application migrations to diverse hosting environments including cloud, colocation and self-hosted facilities
  • Collaborating with client SMEs in enterprise architecture, cloud architecture and core infrastructure services
  • Progress status reports and presentations to project stakeholders
  • Developing and managing project related tasks and activities in complex cross functional teams including client and partner team members
  • Accountability for project costs and alignment with scope
  • Ensuring deliverables are maintained according to Cavan standards
  • Continuous review and evaluation of processes and tools to increase efficiency
  • Participation in pre and post-sales presentations and executive briefings including scope development, engagement pricing and project staffing estimates

Required Skills:

  • 7 to 10 years’ experience in a client-facing enterprise technology / project management role
  • Experience in the financial services or healthcare sector preferred
  • Strong understanding of application architecture and IT Infrastructure including server, storage, and network environments.
  • Strong understanding of public cloud architecture, services, provisioning and workload management
  • Experience in managing workload migrations to public cloud and self-hosted colocation environments
  • Experience in a Consulting/Professional Services role, preferred
  • Ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams and resources to facilitate goals and objectives of an engagement
  • Polished, professional presentation skills and experience in presenting to IT leadership, C-level executives
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated Project Management ability using waterfall and Agile approaches
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Education & Certification Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering discipline (preferred)
  2. PMP or ACP certification, preferred
