John Martin is a Principal at The Cavan Group which he founded in 1994. The Cavan Group is an independent IT consulting firm that works with clients in all sectors including financial services, healthcare, life sciences and eCommerce. The Cavan Group specializes in workload hosting strategy, hosting solutions and program management of complex application migration initiatives. Mr. Martin is responsible for identifying business and technology trends and developing service offerings that meet the needs of a diverse client base. Earlier in his career, Mr. Martin held IT management positions at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Fidelity Investments.

Mark Wilme joined The Cavan Group in May of 2014 with over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services sector, both in the US and the UK.

An experienced leader, Mark excels at delivering complex enterprise level technology solutions while helping his team to achieve meaningful goals. Mark’s experience includes leadership roles spanning technology infrastructure, application development and technology governance at BNY Mellon, PNC Financial Services, First Data Corporation and London and Manchester Assurance (now Friends Provident llc).

At Cavan, Mark is responsible for overall management, delivery and direction of the team’s client engagements, evolution of our core practices and disciplines, and works with John Martin on the growth of the business into new practice areas and sectors.

Mark enjoys time sailing Rhode Island and New England waters with his family in the summer and his 1957 MGA roadster when the weather permits.
