TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE: STRUCTURED CABLING DESIGN

Representing the very roots of our company, The Cavan Group has provided Structured Cabling Design services to a myriad of clients over the years. Our success in this critical area is the result of a methodology born from practical experience and tested by time.

The Cavan Group takes a consultative approach to design development beginning with a Needs Analysis process intended to identify both current and future planned usage of the facility. In addition to gleaning specific cabling, conduit and carrying plant requirements, The Cavan Group reviews existing schematics and other design documents as well as relevant corporate infrastructure standards during the Needs Analysis phase.

Typical Structured Cabling Design activities extend to the design and layout of computer/server rooms, telecommunications closets, and training and conference rooms. Budgetary pricing estimates are developed based on a comprehensive view of all facility requirements.

Upon client approval of the design specifications, The Cavan Group develops and distributes RFP packages to pre-qualified vendors, and subsequently evaluates their responses. The Cavan Group also assists with vendor negotiations, and provides on-going project management oversight of vendor implementation activities to ensure conformance to specifications and standards.
