• Migration Strategy – Often the most daunting task of a data center project is the planning and execution of migrating systems and services to the new facility. Cavan will develop a detailed migration strategy that addresses the business concerns, continuity planning, risk management, IT resources and costs.
• Move Group Development – We identify the dependencies and prerequisites necessary to establish logical groupings of systems and services for migration events.
• Planning Documents – Cavan has created a suite of planning and tracking documents to closely monitor progress, resources, risks and costs.
• Move Execution – Through industry partnerships, we can deliver the complete scope of migration services including de-installation and re-installation of server and storage hardware, as well as script development for user acceptance testing.
• Decommissioning – Invariably, there is a clean up effort required at the old facility after a data center migration is complete. This may include disposition of abandoned hardware, destruction of electronic media or cancellation of telecommunications services. Cavan will take ownership of the entire decommissioning process to ensure real estate, security, audit and financial obligations are met.
